Mark N Tompkins is the main painter and paint coordinator of the Hollywood movie title "2012".[1]
Biography
Mark Tompkins was born on January 16, 1975 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Canadian set painter and scene designer, currently living in the United States. He also tried his luck as a scenic artist and TV actor, but working in that career didn't pay off for Tompkins, so he completely abandoned it.[2]
After completing his education and at the Capilano University in Vancouver and involving himself with the Maryland Institute College of Art, he got the chance to work in the Hollywood movie industry. His career is full with many horror movie titles like Lake Placed in 1999, Final Destination in 2001 and Freddy vs. Jason in 2003.[3]
In the mid 2000's, he sort of became a mainstream matte painter, being involved in other genres as well as popular TV series like Psych. Most of his work isn't noticeable for the regular viewer, but his work was highly praised by the critics. He often involves himself in set designing for specific plays he estimates worthy.
