2012 Apocalypse[]
During the apocalypse and the Worldwide Flooding, Mount Everest was hit by one of the tsunamis that flooded Asia, but since it is 8,848 meters high, it was able to survive from being fully flooded as its peak was visible out of the water's waves.
When Ark 04 was sent adrift, it was heading for the north face of Mount Everest and nearly had a fatal collision with the half-flooded mountain when Jackson Curtis and his son Noah managed to get the Impact Driver that was jamming the Ark's gate gears, allowing the Ark to start its engines when the gate closed and the Ark was able to avoid a full collision.
After the apocalypse ends, Mount Everest was no longer the roof of the world, giving the title to the Drakensberg Mountains in KwaZulu Natal. After that, the Drakensberg Mountains became the new tallest mountains on Earth, and so does the Cape of Good Hope which became the set course for the Arks.
